Best of 2013

Best song of 2013 is retrograde. I chose this because its like blues meets a little bit of hip hop, it has a nice clean flow but also has those hits and a beat that just makes you want to dance. I think its a favorite of 2013 because its a song I can listen to repeatedly.

The best movie of 2013 is Catching Fire. I chose this movie because The Hunger Games is my favorite book series. What attracted me to this choice is the love story, the manipulation, the defiance of the higher powers, the coming together in unity to do whats right and the symbolism. Catching Fire is the best movie of 2013 because it's captivating and relatable.

The most important news of 2013 in my opinion is the Trayvon Martin case. I chose this because it shows that racism is still alive today. Its the most important because it brought up so many questions and theories and debates between people around the nation who questioned this case.

The most important person in 2013 is Jennifer Lawrence. I chose her because she is very inspiring, she shows that you don't have to mold and shape yourself into what society wants you to be in order to be happy and to fit in. She's the best of 2013 because she is a role model to so many people.

The most talked about person in 2013 is Miley Cyrus. I chose her because throughout this year she has changed her image in a non pleasing way and she has drawn so much attention to herself in not so good ways.

PART 3: HOLIDAY AND HOPES FOR 2013

1. My favorite thing about this holiday break was getting to spend time with a very special friend before he moved back to his hometown.
2. My resolutions for 2014 are to not be a procrastinator anymore, to be more focused in school, and to be more optimistic.
3. I look forward to my 3rd year on Diamonds, completing my junior year and summer.
